Terms & Conditions
These terms set out the basis on which Nakorn Timeworks offers its watch repair and restoration services. We have tried to keep the language straightforward and practical.
1. Definitions
For the purposes of these Terms and Conditions, the following terms carry the meanings given below:
- "Workshop" / "We" / "Us" / "Our" — Nakorn Timeworks, operating from 245 Thonglor Soi 13, Watthana, Bangkok 10110, Thailand.
- "Client" / "You" / "Your" — any person who enquires about, deposits, or collects a timepiece in connection with our services.
- "Services" — the watch repair, servicing, and restoration work described on this website and discussed at the point of acceptance.
- "Timepiece" — any watch, clock, or related item entrusted to us by the Client.
- "Agreement" — the contract formed when we accept a Timepiece for a defined scope of work, as confirmed in writing or by receipt.
- "Quote" — a written estimate provided by us for a specific scope of work on a specific Timepiece.
- "Website" — the pages accessible at nakornti.club.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By depositing a Timepiece with us, requesting a Quote, or submitting an enquiry through our Website, you indicate that you have read and agree to these Terms.
Our services are offered to adults aged 18 and over with the legal capacity to enter a binding agreement. If you are depositing a Timepiece on behalf of another person or an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
These Terms apply alongside any written Quote or deposit receipt we issue. Where there is a direct conflict, the specific wording in a Quote or receipt takes precedence over these general Terms.
3. Service Description
Nakorn Timeworks offers watchmaking services in Bangkok, Thailand. Our current service offerings include:
- Quartz Servicing & Battery Care — cell replacement, gasket review, case and crystal cleaning, water resistance check where applicable.
- Bracelet & Case Refurbishment — link refitting, pin servicing, and light case refinishing to soften wear.
- Heritage Movement Rebuild — full strip, cleaning, worn-part assessment, timing adjustment, and photographic documentation for older mechanical timepieces.
All services are subject to prior assessment. We may decline work where a Timepiece's condition, age, or parts availability makes a satisfactory outcome unlikely. We will communicate any such situation honestly before work begins.
Service availability is subject to workshop capacity. Quoted turnaround times are estimates and may be affected by parts sourcing or unforeseen complexity discovered during disassembly.
4. Client Responsibilities
When depositing a Timepiece, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the Timepiece's history, known faults, and any previous repairs.
- Confirm that you are the owner of the Timepiece, or have the owner's authority to deposit it.
- Collect the Timepiece within 30 days of being notified that work is complete. Uncollected items beyond this period may incur a storage fee.
- Notify us promptly if your contact details change between deposit and collection.
- Refrain from misrepresenting the condition, provenance, or ownership status of any Timepiece.
You accept that watchmaking is a skilled trade involving inherent risk on aged or delicate items. Where a Timepiece shows pre-existing fragility, we will discuss this before proceeding and may ask for written acknowledgement.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website — including text, photographs, design, layout, and workshop documentation — is the property of Nakorn Timeworks or its contributors, and is protected under applicable intellectual property law.
You are welcome to view and share links to our Website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not reproduce, copy, repost, or adapt our content without prior written permission.
Photographs taken by us during a Heritage Movement Rebuild are shared with the Client as part of the service. These may not be reproduced commercially without attribution to Nakorn Timeworks.
6. Payment Terms
All prices are quoted in Thai Baht (฿) and are inclusive of applicable taxes unless otherwise stated in writing.
Current service pricing:
Quoted prices may be revised if, upon disassembly, the scope of work is found to differ materially from initial assessment. We will notify you before proceeding with any additional work and obtain your agreement.
Payment is due in full on collection of the Timepiece. We accept cash and bank transfer. The Timepiece remains in our custody until full payment is received.
We do not offer refunds once a service has been completed as agreed. If you wish to discuss the outcome of any work, please contact us within 14 days of collection.
7. Service-Specific Terms
Scope and Changes
The scope of work is confirmed at deposit. If additional issues are discovered during the service, we will contact you with a revised assessment before proceeding. Work beyond the original scope requires your express agreement.
Parts and Materials
Where replacement parts are required, we source components appropriate to the Timepiece's make, age, and condition. We do not use parts that would compromise the Timepiece's character without informing you first. Sourcing lead times may affect the estimated turnaround.
Documentation (Heritage Rebuild)
For Heritage Movement Rebuilds, we maintain a written and photographic record of the process. This record is shared with you on completion and retained by us for a period of three years.
Water Resistance
Water resistance testing is carried out where the design of a Timepiece permits. Test results are advisory and do not constitute a representation as to future performance under all conditions.
Cancellation
You may cancel a service at any time before work has commenced. If work is already underway, we may invoice for the portion completed. Cancellations must be communicated in person or in writing.
8. Disclaimers
Our services are provided on the basis of professional skill and care, but watchmaking involves inherent uncertainties, particularly with aged mechanical movements. We cannot predict every outcome in advance and will not represent otherwise.
Website content is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute a binding offer or a representation as to any particular result. Specific commitments are made only in written Quotes.
We are not agents or authorised service centres for any watch manufacturer. Our work is carried out independently, and using our services does not affect any manufacturer's original service records.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Thai law, our total liability to you in connection with any service shall not exceed the price paid for that service.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of sentimental value, loss of use, or any damage arising from pre-existing conditions in a Timepiece that were not disclosed at deposit.
We take reasonable care of all Timepieces in our custody and maintain appropriate workshop insurance. In the event of accidental damage caused by us, we will discuss a fair resolution with you directly.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Thai law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Nakorn Timeworks harmless from any claims, costs, or liabilities arising from your breach of these Terms — including, but not limited to, depositing a Timepiece you do not own or providing materially inaccurate information about its condition or history.
11. Termination
Either party may bring a service agreement to a close at any time by mutual communication. If you cancel before work starts, no charge applies. If work is partly completed, we will discuss a fair settlement.
We reserve the right to decline or discontinue a service if we have reasonable grounds to believe a Timepiece has been misrepresented, or if continuing would not be in the Timepiece's interest.
Clauses relating to payment, intellectual property, disclaimers, and liability remain in effect after any termination.
12. Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any dispute arising from or in connection with our services shall, in the first instance, be addressed through direct and informal discussion.
If a resolution cannot be reached informally within 30 days, the matter may be referred to mediation or the competent courts of Bangkok, Thailand, as appropriate.
We value every client relationship and will approach any concern with the same care we bring to our watchmaking work. Please reach us at [email protected] if a concern arises.
13. General Provisions
Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with any written Quote or receipt issued by us, constitute the full agreement between the parties and supersede prior discussions.
Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
Waiver. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not constitute a waiver of the right to enforce it on another.
Assignment. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer our obligations to a suitably qualified successor.
Notices. Formal notices should be sent to [email protected] or to our workshop address. We may contact you using the details you provided at deposit.
14. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Where changes are material, we will make a reasonable effort to draw your attention to them.
We recommend checking this page occasionally if you are a returning client.
